So what's new?

So what new bits have arrived on the fishing scene recently? Well it has been rather busy with lots of new products coming on the market from many of the UK's leading tackle manufacturers. Here i will try to highlight a few of the most anticipated arrivals. 

Great bivvy at a super price!

We will start off with a few bits from Fox International, the new Royale Classic replaces the original Royale bivvy at at a lower selling price of only £149.99 . This bivvy features a 2 rib design letting you tuck your bedchair to the back and giving extra room at the front of the bivvy. Comes supplied with a heavy duty groundsheet, mozzy mesh panels on the front for the summer and a two way zip system on the front door. Again thinking of the practicality, this bivvy is supplied in an oversized bag making packing up that bit easier. An overwrap is also available for only £59.99!

Next up from Fox is the Flatliner Thermal Cover , this fits perfectly over your Flatliner Sleep System and brings the thermal qualities up from 3-4 season to a winter 5 season sleep system, a must for the hardened carp anglers who brave the winter conditions. The thermal cover features large flaps that hang over the side of the bedchair to eliminate those drafts. Priced at only £79.99 this is a truly worthy addition.

Ultra Light lure fishing has really hit the UK by storm this year, the demand for lures and jig heads shows that more and more of you are going to lakes, rivers and canals in search of smaller species on light tackle. With the growing popularity, we have introduced more to our existing range of lure angling equipment. Once again Fox seem to be ahead of the game here, with the Micro and Mini Fry in various colours selling through faster than we can keep stock! Avid Carp have improved their original carp cradle with the new Safeguard Any Level Adjustable Cradle . Available in two sizes, standard or X-Large, the cradle is quick to erect and pack away. Packs with features and providing the ultimate in carp safety.

As many of you will know, here at Tackle-Up we are not all about carp, we cater for as many types of angling as possible and general coarse fishing is no exception. There has been many new products from Preston Innovations, Matrix, Guru, Drennan, Garbolino that is worth having a browse through our website. One product from Garbolino that stands out and appears to be very popular are the Commercial Hooklengths . Garbolino are the first company to introduce these in this way. Supplied on a winder, each hooklength is 150mm in length and there are 10 hooklengths per winder. Priced at only £1.99 per winder we feel this offers exceptional value for money and a great addition to any rig box. These are available in 3 versions, Power Carp , Power Pellet or Silver/F1 .

On another note, we now have our RFD. In the coming weeks we will be stocking a wide range of Air Rifles from BSA , AirArms and Cometa ,  along with Scopes, Mounts, Pellets and other accessories. New Drennan Coarse Luggage Range

We have just had a look at the new Drennan range of luggage and i must say it is very impressive!

There are two rod holdalls in the range, a 6/8 Tube with single zip and a 10/12 Tube twin zip. Both at 195cm to accommodate even the longest pole sections on the market. The 6/8 Tube is priced at £64.95 and the 10/12 Tube at £74.95

Both Holdalls come with a large external pocket to store Banksticks, Net Handles, Umbrella's and whatever else you may need to stuff in there! 

The holdall has 3 bottom pockets to accommodate up to 3 double rod sleeves, fastening via the velcro straps which are located on two areas of the Holdalls. 

Both Holdalls are fully padded to protect it's contents.

Also in the range are two rod sleeves, these come in a Short and Long Version. The Short is priced at ££22.95 and the Long is £24.95 

The Short is suitable for 3 Piece Rods or rods up to 9ft whereas the Long version will take up to 2 Piece rods to 12ft.

Both sleeves come complete with velcro rod straps and an internal pocket to place your feeder or even spare spools for the reels.

There are two sized carryalls to compliment the range, Large and Extra Large. The Large is priced at £59.95 and the Extra Large at £65.95

Both come with a hard base, Full width external pocket, side pockets and padded webbed straps.

Next up is the Coolbags which again come in two sizes, Medium and Large. The Medium is priced at £19.95 and the Large is £24.95

Drennan have also added a range of Wet Net Bags to the range, these have become increasingly popular over the last few years. There are to be three sizes of these in the range, all are generous sizing. A 1 Net Bag will be priced at £24.95 , 2 Net Bag at £29.95 and the 3 Net Bag at £34.95. These feature a webbed carry handle and like the rest of the range, superb zips and stitching.

Last but certainly not least! A reel bag. This little bag will sell for £4.95 and has ample space inside for match sized reels or will double up as a neat lead and feeder storage bag. Heavily padded and quality zip and stitching.

Fox FX11 Carp Reel

The long awaited Fox FX11 reel is now in stock. Smaller than your average 'Big Pit' reel, this has been designed for the carp angler that fishes 2.75 / 3lb tc rods that simply does not want nor need a huge chunk of carp reel!

Well we now have the new beach shelter from Shakespeare in stock and it does not disappoint! To say it is a vast improvement on the last shelter to come out of the Shakespeare house is an understatement!

This Weeks New Products

Well its been a couple of weeks since i last wrote about the new tackle items that are now in stock! With the tackle companies saving new releases until October/November, there has not been a huge amount of new tackle launched, but the new products that have been launched are well worth looking at! 

First off , and pick of the bunch for me, is the Fox Flatliner Bed & Bag.  The bedchair, as the name suggests, comprises of the Flatliner bedchair with a built in 3-4 season bag system. The bag has 20% of the bags filling  below you while the other 80% is in the upper part of the bag preventing heat loss. The bed has a single leg at the top and bottom making leveling super simple, no more trying to lean over the far side to adjust these supporting legs! Weighing in complete at only 12kg, this bed has already in it's first two weeks proved to be a top seller and loved by carp anglers over the UK. Another product from Fox is the new Fox Baiting Spoon. Priced at only £12.99 the spoon is very good value for money, well made and sturdy, it is sure to provide years of service. The metale handle is finished in a sutttle matt black with diamond milled pattern for a sure grip. The handle is removable so that the spoon can be attached to a long baiting handle or net handle for extra reach.

Drennan International have finally added new products to the E-Sox range of pike gear! After a huge success with the original E-Sox range of pike rods, we now have 3 fantastic lure rods added to the range. Available in three test curves and lengths, these rods look and feel the part. Along with the lure rods, E-Sox also now has a range of soft lures and more traditional lures in the range. With Holographic paint work and rattlers, these lures really do attract the fish. Whether you are fishing for freshwater species or bass in the sea, these are definitely worth a look! Well that's about it for now, i'm sure that within the next month there will be plenty more products arriving from most of the manufacturer's. I know Abu will have some new 6500 sized reels arriving, and Penn a new multiplier, so keep an eye on this space for further information.

This Weeks New Products

Ok, so i am a week late! It's not that we have not had enough new products in, i have just been rather busy with the online sales and getting all the new products loaded up on to our website.

So, whats new i hear you ask. Well we have had new products in for Carp Fishing, Coarse Fishing and some new products added to our Sea Fishing section of the website. 

Well i will start with a couple of new products for the coarse angler, specifically the pole angler. Preston Innovations have this week launched a new pole elastic range and another addition to the already popular Uni CadPot range. 

The new Dura Hollo high performance elastic is supplied in a range of sizes to suit every pole fishing situation and is supplied in 3m spools. This new elastic from Preston Innovations has a new upgraded core giving the elastic superior performance and a longer life span. It has a little less stretch to it than the original Hollo elastic but now with unrivaled performance.

Next up is the new Uni Cadpot in the range which has been named the Drop 'n' Drip. This neat little pot performs the same as the other UniCad Pots, letting you use the pot on any size tip from 2.5mm-8mm and the ability to secure right at the end of your pole tip allowing deadly accurate feeding. So whats the difference? Well the pot has a lid which a molded  ball of pellet of groundbait can be placed, this lid also has a hole and underneath a space where loose pellet can be placed. This allows the angler to feed a ball of micro's or groundbait first, then add more bait as required.

Over the last 2 weeks we have taken delivery of two new reels from Daiwa. The Daiwa Emcast BR and the Tournament Entoh QDA reels. 

The new Tournament Entoh still has the compact body but now with a stealth black paint finish. A forward tapered spool and now with the addition of the QDA spool as standard. The reel is supplied with a spare spool, weighs in at a mere 20.8oz and features the High Impact line clip which is an exclusive to Daiwa. The 5500 model has a great line capacity too holding 270m of 20lb (0.45mm).  RRP on the reel is £325 and available from Tackle Up for only £250.

     
   
The next reel from Daiwa is the Emcast BR, this is their latest edition baitrunner. This reel provides fantastic value for money and it packed with features. It comes supplied with a double and a single handle so the angler can choose the handle he or she prefers. The rear 'Bite n Run' facility provides the free spool mode while still having the front drag for total control while playing the fish on the drag. The drag itself is super smooth ensuring the best possible chance of not loosing those fish under the tip during the last stages of the fight. With 8 ball bearings, airbail, twistbuster and cast lock provide this low priced reel with top end features that you come to expect from Daiwa. The reel has an RRP of £99.99 and available from Tackle Up for only £74.99.
